Where is Kruger National Park, you ask? It's in the top right corner of South Africa, the southern most country in Africa, and borders parts of Mozambique and Zimbabwe. The park lies within two provinces, Mpumalanga and Limpopo.

Nelspruit is the closest regional centre to Kruger National Park, 62km (38 miles) west of Malelane Gate. You must enter the park through one of its gates.

The following map shows the gates into the park, the major roads and rest camps. The park also has an extensive network of gravel roads.

The park is 350km (218 miles) long and up to 80km (50 miles) wide. Yes, it's big!
